Flavor Profile

Only Welschriesling grown on Tagyon Hill was used to create this wine, grown with a yield restriction of 1 kg per vine. The must was spontaneously fermented before resting 7 months on fine lees in a steel tank. The end result is a full-bodied, rich wine that shows the potential and depth of one of the most popular Hungarian grape varieties.

PRODUCER INFORMATION

Producer: Tánczos Pince

The small, family-run Tánczos Pince currently cultivates 4.4 hectares in the Balatonfüred–Csopak wine region. Their vineyards are located in the Nivegy Valley, between Zánka and Nagyvázsony, an area known for its favorable conditions for grape growing.

Producing healthy, high-quality grapes without the use of synthetic chemicals is one of the family’s main priorities. This low-intervention philosophy continues in the cellar, where their wines ferment spontaneously using the grapes’ indigenous yeasts.

While remaining close to nature, the family is also open to modern winemaking technology, carefully selecting techniques that complement their philosophy rather than working against it. They continually refine their approach from vintage to vintage, with the aim of expressing the character of their vineyards as naturally as possible.
