Heumann winery's classic Rhine Riesling is harvested from 15-20 years old Siklós vines and fermented in stainless steel tanks. A rich, vibrant, fresh wine with intense peach and refreshing citrus, grapefruit flavors complemented by the variety's characteristic petrol aromas. The vibrant acids typical of Riesling ensure a long and rich finish. We heartily recommend it with light meals and salads!

The story of Heumann Cellar began in 1995, when Swiss-German couple Evelyn and Erhardt purchased the foundation of their future winery: a 40-year-old Portugieser vineyard in Siklós, in the Villány wine region. What began as a shared passion for viticulture and winemaking gradually developed into a profession, and over the years, their sophisticated, award-winning wines have earned recognition throughout Hungary.
Their wines aim to express both the character of Villány and the individual qualities of its grape varieties. Their reds, in particular, have found a place on the wine lists of some of Hungary’s leading restaurants. Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, Kékfrankos, Merlot, and Syrah are among their principal varieties, complemented by Riesling, Chardonnay, and Traminer.
Around 90% of the estate’s vineyards are protected under the Villány DHC designation. In keeping with the region’s strict quality requirements, the winery limits yields to approximately 1–1.5 kg of grapes per vine, allowing them to focus on concentration, balance, and quality.
