Imre Garger’s 2.5-hectare winery is located on Vas-hegy in Vaskeresztes, within the Sopron wine region. The majority of the vineyards were planted with Kékfrankos in 2003, complemented by a smaller parcel of Merlot.
The winery has earned significant professional recognition over the years. In 2009, Garger’s Kékfrankos was featured prominently in a respected annual publication highlighting the 100 best Hungarian wines of the year.
Vas-hegy has a long-standing tradition of Kékfrankos cultivation, yet only a handful of local wineries produce bottled wines that reach both the Hungarian and Austrian markets. Garger Pince is one of them, helping to keep the area’s Kékfrankos tradition alive and visible beyond the region.
