Flavor Profile
This lambic is aged in barrels of the traditional fortified wine from western France, Pineau des Charentes. The legendary aperitif is a blend of grape must or lightly fermented juice and unaged Cognac Eaux de Vie, which is traditionally aged in oak barrels. The Pineau des Charentes 2024 has been aged for a year, allowing oxidative notes to come to the fore, defining the final character of this special lambic.

PRODUCER INFORMATION
Producer: Boerenerf
Boerenerf is not a traditional large-scale brewery, but rather a blenderij (blending blender/house). They source the finest local lambic bases, which they age in their own wooden barrels, shape through oak-barrel blending, and refine with freshly picked local fruits or herbs. Instead of artificial flavorings, they use real fruit—such as sour cherries, raspberries, apricots, and grapes much of which comes from their own orchards or nearby biodynamic farms. Blurrying the line between premium craft beer and natural wine, their beers represent the newest and most exciting chapter in Belgian geuze production with their complex, tart, deep flavor profiles and elegant presentation.
