Flavor Profile
This lambic is the result of a collaboration between the Boerenerf brewery and the Alsatian biodynamic winery, Domaine Achillée: the Alsacien 2024 was flavored with a plum variety typical of the French region, locally known as Quetch, which the Belgian brewery obtained from the winery’s own harvest. Boerenerf let the fruit soak in its own blend of young and old lambic for six months. The result is an exceptional, fruity lambic with a complex flavor profile that is sure to steal the hearts of lambic lovers.

PRODUCER INFORMATION
Producer: Boerenerf
Boerenerf is a unique Belgian craft project located in the town of Huizingen, in Belgium's famous Pajottenland region. The initiative was brought to life by Senne Eylenbosch a descendant of the prestigious Eylenbosch brewing dynasty founded in 1886 alongside Vincent Dibon. Meaning "farmyard" or "farmstead," the name perfectly reflects the founders' philosophy: reviving the traditional production of Belgian lambic beers and geuzes while combining it with sustainable agriculture and a farm-to-glass approach.
Boerenerf is not a traditional large-scale brewery, but rather a blenderij (blending blender/house). They source the finest local lambic bases, which they age in their own wooden barrels, shape through oak-barrel blending, and refine with freshly picked local fruits or herbs. Instead of artificial flavorings, they use real fruit—such as sour cherries, raspberries, apricots, and grapes much of which comes from their own orchards or nearby biodynamic farms. Blurrying the line between premium craft beer and natural wine, their beers represent the newest and most exciting chapter in Belgian geuze production with their complex, tart, deep flavor profiles and elegant presentation.
