Flavor Profile

Following its well-established blend, the Flamingó Rosé Cuvée from Garai Pince in Szekszárd is once again crafted from a marriage of Kékfrankos and Cabernet Sauvignon in the fresh 2025 vintage.

On the nose and palate, vibrant red berry fruits take centre stage – raspberry, strawberry, crisp cherry, pomegranate and rosehip. The overall impression is further enriched by a subtle hibiscus-like floral character, complemented by gentle herbal notes of vine leaf and lemon balm.

A distinctive yet elegant rosé, offering excellent balance and a lively, refreshing finish.

PRODUCER INFORMATION

Producer: Garai Pince

The Garai family winery began its journey near Pécs, on the historic cellar row of Mecseknádasd. In the early years, the family did not own vineyards and instead made their wines from grapes sourced from the Szekszárd wine region. This changed in 2013, when they established their own family estate on 1.5 hectares in Szekszárd, a region particularly close to their hearts, on Nyéki Hill near Alsónyék. Since then, they have continued to develop and improve the estate, with the long-term goal of expanding it to five hectares.

At the heart of the Garai family’s winemaking philosophy is the idea of following wine’s journey from vine to table. Drawing on family traditions, they approach every bottle with care and dedication, with their wines receiving recognition at several competitions over the years.

The youngest generation is also actively involved: Ákos plays an important role in the winemaking process, helping to shape the family’s full-bodied yet approachable wines. His involvement underlines what lies at the heart of Garai Pince—a genuine, multigenerational family winery.
