Siller wine, a hybrid style between red and rosé, is a lesser known category at the international level, which is not a style made very often even in its homeland, the Carpathian Basin. The lightness of rosé is combined with more restrained tannins than red wines: an excellent siller is always light but complex. Mayer Anti's 2022 vintage, made from Kékfrankos, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, is exactly this: its fruitiness mainly provides notes of raspberry, cherry, and sour cherry, which, together with lively acidity and restrained tannins, creates an exceptionally refreshing, lush, but deep wine.
