Flavor Profile

Following the consumption culture and trends of Champagne, more and more Champagne houses are producing wines with a slightly sweeter tone. Champagne Louis de Sacy is no exception, which is why they created their Tentation cuvée, which was made with a dosage of 16g/L, placing it squarely within the extra dry category.

Tentation is not only modern in its conception, but also in its appearance: the bottle is a slightly extravagant blue color, whose silver capsule and snow-white label exemplify an elegant distinction. The Champagne is crafted from a blend of 54% pinot noir and 46% chardonnay grapes, and its flavors are dominated by bright fruits: exotic fruits such as pineapple, pomelo and coconut can be found alongside candied peaches, pears, and acacia honey. Tentation’s rich fruitiness is balanced by a vibrant freshness.

PRODUCER INFORMATION

Producer: Champagne Louis de Sacy

The Sacy family runs an organic, 18-hectare grower Champagne estate based in Verzy, where they also cultivate Grand Cru vineyards. The family’s connection to the Champagne region dates back to 1633, while their winemaking history began in the 1960s.

Their vineyards around Reims are planted with the region’s classic grape varieties: 65% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay, and 5% Pinot Meunier. Sustainable and environmentally conscious farming is at the heart of their approach, while in the cellar they place equal emphasis on technical precision, openness, and patience.

This combination of deep roots in the region, careful organic farming, and a thoughtful approach to winemaking allows the Sacy family to create Champagnes that reflect both their heritage and the character of their vineyards.
